Here is a short film I put together after spending a week at La Casamurada recording studio in Spain with Tarah Who? and Alain Johannes as they recorded the next six songs for the forthcoming Tarah Who? album. The film started off as a simple idea to compile a short, three-minute recap of how the recording was coming along each day, and then as these things often do it turned into what was mostly a record of who was jumping into the pool next …

A great week – great company, good laughs, good food and some amazing music to look forward to hearing in the near future.

In October 2023 I traveled to Lisbon in Portugal to begin work on a project that will continue well into 2024. Filming the band Tarah Who? in the recording studio was just the first phase of this journey. The final documentary will also cover the band’s forthcoming European tour and beyond.

The featured trailer was put together in order to gain interest and support for the project.

This second “teaser” trailer was put together from footage taken during November 2023 across various locations in Europe. The road footage was shot in Czech Republic, Austria and in Leipzig, Germany, while the live in this trailer was mostly shot in Linz, Austria.

As with the first trailer, this was put together in order to gain interest and support for the project.

This is a clip of the Tarah Who? song Pantomath that I put together from footage taken at various locations on their European tour in November 2023, including Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria and Belgium. The audio was taken directly from the soundboard using a Tascam DR-40x recorder, which was a simple but effective way to capture the sound.

The footage was all shot for the documentary, and this video clip was put together to use as a promotion tool for their headline tour of France.
